EndoGlow iOS App Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 15, 2026
Last Updated: April 30, 2026
EndoGlow is a health tracking app designed to help users log symptoms, identify patterns, and better understand endometriosis and related conditions. Because the app involves sensitive health-related information, EndoGlow is committed to protecting privacy and handling data responsibly.
1. Information we collect in the app
The iOS app may collect information you provide directly, including account information such as your email address, symptom tracking data, health-related inputs, personal notes or journal entries, and Glow chat questions or messages you choose to enter.
If you turn on diagnostics sharing in Privacy settings, EndoGlow may collect limited technical data such as device type, operating system, app performance timings, and crash logs needed to keep the app working.
If you choose to connect supported third-party services such as Apple Health, the app may read menstrual flow data, sleep analysis data, and selected symptom categories such as cramps, bloating, fatigue, headache, lower back pain, nausea, and pelvic pain only with your explicit permission.
2. How the app uses your information
The app uses information to provide symptom tracking and logging, generate personalized insights and pattern recognition, improve app performance and functionality, and maintain stability and troubleshoot issues.
EndoGlow does not use health data for advertising purposes and does not sell personal or health data.
3. Third-party processing and AI features
To provide app functionality, some data may be securely processed by trusted service providers, including categories such as cloud database and authentication providers, OpenAI for insight narration and optional Glow chat support, and a Supabase-hosted crash and performance diagnostics pipeline if diagnostics sharing is enabled.
EndoGlow shares only the minimum data necessary to provide the intended functionality and does not use crash or performance data for advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking.
When AI insight narration or Glow chat is enabled, the app may send structured symptom summaries, trend metrics, recap text, user questions, up to a small number of recent conversation turns, selected profile context, and a limited amount of recent note content to a Supabase-hosted backend function, which then sends that data to OpenAI to generate supportive, readable responses. Recent chat turns may be kept temporarily on device while the chat screen is open so Glow can respond coherently. If the AI/Glow setting is turned off in the app, EndoGlow stops sending data to AI narration and Glow support services and falls back to deterministic, non-AI summaries where available.
Insights are based on self-reported data, may not be accurate, and are informational only. They are not medical advice.
4. Data storage, security, and your controls
EndoGlow uses reasonable safeguards, including secure storage, access restrictions, and standard security practices. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but EndoGlow will notify affected users of a reportable breach when required by applicable law.
Within the app, users can request account deletion, request a copy of their data, and update or correct information. Account deletion is intended to permanently and irreversibly delete associated app data.
5. Retention, children, and updates
EndoGlow retains app data only as long as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, associated app data is intended to be permanently deleted.
The app is not intended for children under 13, and EndoGlow does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
EndoGlow may update this app privacy policy from time to time. If significant changes are made, users may be notified in the app.
